Aaron Wilson hits multiple vehicles during car chase involving his niece

On March 2nd, 60-year-old Aaron Wilson was seen chasing his niece, Victoria Jenkins, in his car and hitting other cars near Meriwether Road. Officers spoke with Jenkins, who claimed Wilson was chasing her in a car. During the chase, Wilson struck two vehicles and continued to chase her. There were three occupants in the two cars that were struck by Wilson. Wilson then intentionally rear-ended Jenkins’ vehicle. Jenkins struck another car in an attempt to get away from Wilson. Wilson then proceeded to hit Jenkins with his car intentionally. On May 5th, Wilson was taken into custody for the following charges: one count of aggravated assault, four counts of reckless endangerment, one count of driving on a suspended license, one count of leaving the scene of an accident, and one count of shoplifting.

DUI: Eric Merriweather caught driving on license revoked in 1991

63-year-old Eric Merriweather was pulled over on May 5th for a broken taillight. When officers checked Merriweather’s license, they found that it had been revoked on July 1st, 1991. Merriweather also could not provide officers with insurance. While speaking with Merriweather, officers observed an open Bud Light beer can near the passenger seat. Officers also observed that Merriweather was demonstrating signs of intoxication. Merriweather was then asked to execute field sobriety tests. Merriweather consented to the sobriety tests but performed poorly. After being informed about implied consent, Merriweather refused to provide law enforcement with a blood sample. Eric Merriweather was then taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, open container, driving with no proof of insurance, and implied consent violation.

Donte Tyson steals $354 worth of football cards & Lego sets from Walmart

45-year-old Donte Tyson was seen shoplifting at Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard on April 6th. Tyson was observed walking into Walmart, grabbing $354 worth of merchandise, and then walking out without paying. The stolen merchandise included four packs of football cards valued at around $26 each and two Lego sets valued at $125 each. During the investigation of the incident, law enforcement found that Tyson had previously been trespassed from Walmart on August 8th, 2022. Donte Tyson was taken into custody and charged with burglary on May 5th.

20-year-old Meekiel Thomas was seen intoxicated at Billy Dunlop Park on May 5th. Officers made contact and noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached Thomas. David “DJ” McRae Jr. punches father multiple times in the head during argument

30-year David “DJ” McRae Jr. was involved in an altercation with his father, David McRae Sr., at his Medical Court residence on May 5th. Officers arrived and took DJ into custody, where he was interviewed about the altercation with her father. DJ stated that he and his father argued over him using the phone. DJ told officers that during the argument, David pushed him twice and then punched him. DJ responded by turning around and punching him back in retaliation. After punching his father, DJ and David fell, knocking over and breaking a lamp. David’s head hit the floor and began bleeding. However, this did not stop DJ from continuing to punch him. DJ stated that he stopped hitting David when he noticed how much his father’s head was bleeding. DJ stated he realized that the situation was bad and repositioned his father to prevent him from choking on his blood. DJ then called an ambulance and waited for paramedics to arrive. When officers arrived at DJ’s home, David Sr. was being transferred to Vanderbilt due to the severity of his injuries. David “DJ” McRae Jr. was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault on May 5th.

Daunte Thompson caught trespassing at EZ Market after yelling at customers

23-year-old Daunte Thompson was jailed on April 26th after trespassing at EZ Market on East Boy Scout Road. Curtice Barrow lies to police to avoid telling her job that she lost her work phone

30-year-old Curtice Barrow was caught giving officers false information at her Smithson Lane townhome on March 30th. Barrow told officers that an unknown person snuck into her home and stole her work phone. While officers were on the scene, Barrow provided them with a self-written statement detailing who the suspect might be and how they could have done it. Later, on April 19th, Barrow participated in a follow-up interview. During the interview, Barrow made several inconsistent statements, ultimately changing her initial story about what happened. Throughout her story, Barrow revealed that she was on probation at her job and didn’t want to violate it by telling them that she had lost her work phone. At the end of the interview, Barrow provided law enforcement with a written statement of admission stating, “It is safe to assume that I lost the phone and it was not stolen.” Curtice Barrow was taken into custody and charged with submitting a false report on April 26th.

Ashley Soard passes out drunk after screaming at Electric Cowboy employees

22-year-old Ashley Soard was jailed on April 26th after passing out at the troubled Electric Cowboy. The manager of the club reported a female who was very intoxicated, screaming at employees, and acting very erratic. She was detained by security after falling to the ground and passing out. Due to Soard’s level of intoxication, officers deemed her a danger to herself and placed her into custody for public intoxication.

Laderrious Carter punches pregnant girlfriend in stomach during argument

31-year-old Laderrious Carter was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend and mother of his child, Cynthia Lee, at his Tracy Lane apartment on April 8th. Detective Kirby of the Montgomery Sheriff’s Office went to the Northcrest Medical Center to speak to Lee about the incident. Lee informed Kirby that she is currently pregnant with Carter’s child. She told him that the incident started after Carter picked her up from a residence in Springfield at around 7 or 8 p.m. When they arrived at their apartment, an argument ensued. During the argument, Carter punched Lee in the stomach, causing the wind to be knocked out of her. Once Carter left for work, Lee stopped pretending to be asleep and took Carter’s other car back to Springfield, where she checked herself into Northcrest Hospital. A check of NCIC files revealed that Carter also has an active COR on file. Laderrious Carter was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault and contempt on April 27th.

David Jones caught marijuana & magic mushrooms after traffic stop for illegal tint

On April 26th, 25-year-old David Jones was stopped in his 2013 Volkswagen Passat for an illegal tint. While tailing Jones, officers found that the license plate on his car did not belong to his Volkswagen. Officers approached his vehicle and noticed a strong odor of marijuana. This led to officers searching the vehicle and locating five tied-off sandwich bags containing marijuana, a bag of suspected psilocybin aka magic mushrooms, a THC vape, five THC vape cartridges, and a pack of rolling papers. A search of Jones’s person led to officers finding an iPhone and $761.00 in cash. After being read his Miranda rights, Jones invoked his right to his attorney. A check of Jones’s license revealed that it had been suspended for failing to provide insurance on September 8th, 2023. The weight of the marijuana was weighed at 14.175 grams. David Jones was taken into custody and charged with drug paraphernalia, a suspended license, and wrongful demonstration of registration plates on April 27th.

Telly Harris gets into drunken fight, tells police he has no idea where he is

31-year-old Telly Harris, an employee of Sanderson Pipe, was involved in a fight at the Stephanie Drive apartments on April 28th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Harris, who said he was just in a fight. While speaking with Harris, officers noticed that he smelt like an alcoholic beverage and demonstrated signs of being intoxicated. Harris told officers he had no idea where he was and had no means of getting home. Law enforcement then spoke with other residents on Stephanie Drive. They stated that Harris got drunk and started a fight with an unknown individual. Officers deemed Telly Harris a threat to others and himself, so he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication on April 28th.

Tanner Patrick runs from police due to having an active warrant out of White House, TN

25-year-old Tanner Patrick was seen running from deputies at a parking lot on Providence Boulevard on June 23rd, 2023. After giving deputies his information, Patrick exited the rear passenger seat of a 2015 Jeep Compass and ran. Deputies attempted to chase Patrick, but they lost sight of him. The other vehicle occupants told Patrick not to run, but he refused. A check of NCIC files revealed that Patrick had an active warrant out of White House, TN for failure to appear. 32-year-old Niyah Branch was involved in a domestic altercation with her child’s father, Johnny Jacobs, at the RaceTrac on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard on April 28th. Jacobs contacted law enforcement, stating that Branch came to the mentioned location where he is employed and assaulted him. When officers arrived, Jacobs told them he was sitting in the parking lot inside his vehicle when Branch started hitting his car with a basket. Branch then struck him in the arm several times. Niyah Branch was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault on April 30th.

DUI: Noah Olson drives through front door of house after drinking 6 beers at Mr. Billy’s Bar

24-year-old Noah Olson was involved in a single-vehicle car crash at a house on Sussex Drive on April 29th. When officers arrived at the location, they made contact with Olson. While speaking with Olson, officers noticed that his car had gone through the front door and wall of the residence. The homeowners, Kyle Petit and Laken Petit were standing outside after Olson’s SUV hit the front end of their house. Due to officers telling Olson that he smelt like alcohol, he admitted to drinking six beers at Mr. Billy’s Bar and Mike’s Bar. Olson was then asked to execute field sobriety tests. Olson consented to them but ended up performing poorly. Noah Olson was taken into custody and charged with two counts of reckless endangerment on April 29th.

Jamari House jailed after stealing $33,200 from Colorado man’s bank account via fraud

23-year-old Jamari House was caught committing fraud at the US Bank on Madison Street on April 29th. While investigating possible fraud cases, law enforcement discovered a fraudulent account made under the name Robert Andrews. Andrew told law enforcement that he did not authorize the account’s creation or have anything to do with the money transfers from it. Andrew also informed officers that he lived in Colorado. During the investigation, House was deemed the primary suspect. Officers arrived at the mentioned location and spoke with House as he was making a withdrawal from the account. House was detained and transferred to questioning. House claimed he acted with an accomplice he only knew as “Juice.” He also stated that “Juice” established the account to make the withdrawals from Andrew’s account. House admitted that he performed all of the withdrawals on April 25th but stated that he gave the money to “Juice.” When asked about his activity at the bank, he said that “Juice” told him all the money left in that account was his. The totality of the funds fraudulently transferred from Andrew’s account was $33,200. Jamari House was taken into custody and charged with theft of property and theft of identity on April 29th.

DUI: Letoya Vaughn kicks police officer in face at Circle K gas station

On April 29th, 38-year-old Letoya Vaughn was seen recklessly driving and assaulting officers at Circle K near Warfield Boulevard. The officer responded to a call concerning a reckless driver swerving into oncoming traffic before pulling into a Circle K gas station. When officers arrived, they noticed Vaughn walking toward her vehicle from the building. Officers approached Vaughn and immediately smelled alcohol on her breath. Officers also noticed her inability to balance, making her sway back and forth. When officers spoke to Vaughn, she denied driving the vehicle at all.

Officers then spoke with the person who made the call, and they successfully identified Vaughn as the driver. Officers then met with the manager of the Circle K, and he pulled up a video where Vaughn walked into the store with keys in her hand. Other employees at the Circle K informed officers that they believed Vaughn was under the influence of drugs. Officers asked Vaugn to perform sobriety tests, but she refused, so she was taken into custody. While placing her in the vehicle, Vaughn refused to listen to commands and stiffened her body with officers. This prompted officers to get more hands-on, and during this, Vaughn kicked an officer in the face. Following this, the officer searched the vehicle and found an open container of alcohol by the driver’s seat as well as a Styrofoam cup of alcohol in the center console cup holder. Vaughn was previously arrested on April 21st for an incident where she pointed a gun at a woman during an argument. Vaughn was charged with evidence tampering, assault against first responder, DUI, resisting arrest, and open container law on April 29th.
