34-year-old Brenda Zuniga was involved in a car crash at the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Washington Street on May 17th. When officers arrived, they observed Zuniga sitting behind the wheel of her vehicle, which crashed into a pole on the sidewalk. Officers made contact and noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached Zuniga. Zuniga stated that she was heading home and saw a dog run out in front of her. Zuniga stated that she tried to avoid the dog but ended up hitting a street pole. Shortly after, Zuniga admitted that she had three drinks before she started driving. Brenda Zuniga refused to perform sobriety tests, so she was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence on May 18th.

James Averitt threatens to harm man’s family via numerous texts & phone calls

49-year-old James Averitt was caught harassing and threatening Danny Ward on February 28th, 2022. Ward spoke with law enforcement, stating that he was contacted by Averitt, whom he never met in real life. According to Ward, he received numerous calls and text messages from Averitt, where he stated he was going to harm Ward and his children. Averitt also told Ward that he had been at several job sites where he worked. James Averitt was taken into custody and charged with harassment on May 17th, 2024.

Brandon Copeland pushes brother on concrete after argument about his drug use

33-year-old Brandon Copeland was involved in a domestic altercation with his brother, Brent Copeland, at a Norris Drive residence on May 17th. Officers spoke with Brandon, who stated that he and Brent had gotten into an argument regarding his recent drug use. Brandon told officers that following this, he told his brother to leave before he pushed him out the door. Officers then spoke with Brent, who claimed that he fell when his brother pushed him out the door. Brent added that this caused him to land on the concrete, creating a road rash on his arm. Brandon was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Okjaun Cockrill caught with marijuana joint & pistol during vehicle search in 2022

27-year-old Okjaun Trevell Cockrill was booked on the citation of simple possession and unlawful possession of a weapon on May 17th, 2024. On April 30th, 2022, officers responded to a ā€œbreach of trust,ā€ during which they noticed the vehicle reeking of marijuana. Officers spoke with the driver, Aislyn Lee, who consented to them searching her car. During their search, officers discovered a small joint in the rear passenger side door and a pistol on the front passenger floorboard. Cockrill then claimed both were his. Under Miranda, Cockrill admitted to smoking weed once or twice a day. Cockrill was cited for the incident that day. Cockrill was later taken into custody on May 17th, 2024.

Shaovion Davis strangles girlfriend, throws her phone into wall during argument

24-year-old Shaovion Davis was involved in a domestic incident with her girlfriend, Traci O’Neil, at an Alonzo Place residence on May 14th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with both Davis and O’Neil, who had two different stories of what happened. After an investigation and questioning, officers determined that Davis had started the fight and argument with O’Neil over prior events. According to officers, Davis became upset and began to hit O’Neil repeatedly. Davis then took O’Neil’s phone and threw it against a wall, causing a hole in the wall. Officers then spoke with O’Neil again, who stated that while being choked, she began to lose consciousness, using her phone to hit Davis in the head to remove her. O’Neil also claims that Davis stopped her from calling 911 several times. This prompted O’Neil to call her sister for help to get in contact with the police. Davis was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for aggravated assault and interfering with an emergency call on May 16th.

Ashley Dickson caught with 115 grams of marijuana after driving with no seatbelt

20-year-old Ashley Ann Dickson and her three other passengers were not wearing their seatbelts near South Riverside Drive and Main Street on May 15th. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop near Augustine Insurance. During the stop, they noticed the vehicle reeking of marijuana before Dickson admitted to smoking and handed them a roach. Officers, however, did not find anything when searching her vehicle. During the search, one of the passengers attempted to hide Dickson’s purse behind the patrol vehicle. Officers grabbed Dickson’s purse after searching her car, which is when she admitted she had marijuana in the purse. Officers then weighed the marijuana found in Dickson’s purse, which came out to be 115 grams. Dickson’s vehicle was then released to her passenger, Abby Dickson. Ashley Dickson was taken into custody for a seatbelt violation and possession of marijuana with intent on May 15th.

27-year-old Kearia Dominique Coney had a domestic incident with her ex-fiancƩ and roommate, Sahleem Lee, at their Barney Lane residence on the evening of May 7th. Officers discovered that they had a verbal altercation, which escalated when Coney pushed him in the face with two fingers. Coney was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Geraldo Veguilla stalks his wife, calls her numerous times

35-year-old Geraldo Antonio Veguilla was taken into custody for stalking on May 8th. On May 6th, around 3 p.m., Anita Veguilla called the authorities to her Danbury Drive residence, advising them that her husband, Mr. Veguilla, had been harassing her since April 6th. She stated that on April 6th, she went somewhere with a friend, and he called her asking what she was doing there, even though she had not told him where she was.

On April 14th, while she walked with a friend, Geraldo approached and confronted her about being alone with another person. She added she does not know how he keeps finding out her whereabouts and wants him to leave her alone. He has made numerous unwanted phone calls causing her to fear that he would continue this behavior. A warrant was issued on May 7th and Veguilla was later arrested for the incident.

Jalysa Hardin assaults ex-girlfriend at The Flats at Lancaster

34-year-old Jalysa Hardin was involved in an altercation with her ex-girlfriend, Esperance Busime, at The Flats at Lancaster on May 3rd. Officers spoke with Busime who explained that Hardin came banging on the door while she was in her apartment. According to Busime, when she opened the door, Hardin grabbed her by her hair and pulled her out of the residence. After pulling Busime out, Hardin struck her head on the building’s siding. Hardin then started punching Busime in the head. Jalysa Hardin was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

52-year-old Kimothy Williams was caught abusing his 15-year-old daughter at their Lancaster Road residence on May 3rd. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim. Officers observed what appeared to be multiple red welts, a scratch, and scrapes on her thighs. The victim told officers that during an argument with Williams, he took off his belt and started striking her. The victim told Williams if he didn’t stop, she would call the police. She then left the house. Kimothy Williams was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

DUI: Anastacio Urdiera drinks 24-ounce Modelo before leaving Circle K gas station

57-year-old Anastacio Urdiera was seen intoxicated at the Circle K on Dover Road on May 3rd. Officers arrived and made contact with Urdiera, who was backing out of a parking space in his green Chevy Tahoe. When officers spoke with Urdiera,Ā they reported that he smelt like alcohol and demonstrated other signs of intoxication. Officers observed an open 24-ounce can of Modelo that was more than half empty. UrdieraĀ was asked to perform sobriety tests, but he refused. UrdieraĀ was then read implied consent, which he denied. A check of NCIC revealed that he did not have a valid driver’s license. Anastacio Urdiera was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, driving with no license, and possessing an open container of alcohol.

Rebecca Davis caught with meth and heroin after stealing from Walmart

36-year-old Rebecca Davis was caught stealing from a Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard on May 3rd. Smith stole and consumed various items totaling $1,807. During a search, officers located a small plastic baggy containing meth and a syringe containing heroin. Officers also found a surgical tube used to ingest narcotics. Smith was then taken into custody for shoplifting, unlawful drug paraphernalia, simple possession, and methamphetamine violation.

41-year-old Kevin Weaver was involved in a domestic altercation with his mother, Margaret Weaver, at a Whispering Hills Trail Residence on May 3rd. When officers arrived, they spoke with both parties. Ms. Margaret explained that as she sat on the couch arguing with her son, he walked up to her and shoved her on the right side of her head. Dexavier Rush stays in semi truck for 3 weeks, pawns jump box to Cash America Pawn Shop

27-year-old Dexavier Rush was caught sleeping in Sharonda Depriest’s semi-truck at Fort Campbell Boulevard on March 27th. Depriest informed law enforcement that she found her truck missing a jump box she had just bought and that garbage was everywhere. When officers arrived, they observed Rush outside the truck, cleaning out his belongings.

He explained that his friend, “KG,” informed him that the truck was unlocked, so he stayed there off and on for three weeks because he didn’t have a home to go to. Rush advised that he didn’t know anything was missing from the truck when questioned about the jump box. During the investigation, officers located Depriest’s jump box at the Cash America Pawn Shop on Fort Campbell Boulevard. Surveillance footage from the pawn shop showed Rush pawning the jump box. Dexavier Rush was taken into custody and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.

DUI: Tess Tillman crashes into utility pole, police find open container of alcohol in car

46-year-old Tess Tillman crashed into a utility pole at the Chapel and Market Street intersection on Apil 24th. Officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached Tillman. During the investigation, officers found an open container of an alcoholic beverage in Tillman’s vehicle in plain sight. Tillman agreed to standardized sobriety tests but performed poorly on all tasks. Tess Tillman was then taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and possessing an open container of alcohol.

Matthew Ramey threatens neighbors “I will kill everyone if I have to”

38-year-old Matthew Ramey was at his ex-neighbor’s house on Clark Street brandishing a knife on May 3rd. When officers arrivedĀ on the scene, they spoke with Carmen Forsgren, who stated that Ramey was inside her home and was not welcome. Carmen stated that her husband, Robert Forsgren, allowed Ramey to come inside, but when asked to leave, he refused.

Officers then spoke with Robert, who said that after allowing Ramey inside his home, Ramey retrieved a knife from his belt line and threw it down toward the kitchen floor. Before Ramey threw his knife down, he said, “I will kill everyone if I have to.” Officers found the hat and knife where Robert claimed that Ramey was lying down. Ramey admitted the hat was his but denied ownership of the knife. Ramey was then taken into custody for aggravated assault.

Tyler Deeley drives with fake temporary tags with the word “Altima” misspelled

22-year-old Tyler Deeley was caught with fake plates on his vehicle near Avalon Street on April 29th. Officers noticed a spray-painted green Nissan Altima with a fake Tennessee temporary tag and initiated a traffic stop. Officers made contact with Deeley, who was able to provide some paperwork for the purchase of the vehicle, but it appeared as if he purchased it from an individual, not a dealer.

While examining the registration, Officers noticed it had different fonts and distorted images, and the word Altima was misspelled with the wrong VIN for the vehicle. Initially, Deeley told officers that he had purchased the car from U Save Auto Sales on Providence Blvd, where he had gotten the tag from. Officers then spoke with the manager of the car lot, who told officers they had no record of any transaction with Deeley or the vehicle. Deeley was taken into custody for falsifying and forging auto titles on May 11th.

DUI: Andre Rivers swerves on Ringgold Road in Jaguar

46-year-old Andre Rivers was caught driving under the influence near the intersection of Fort Campbell Blvd and Ringold Road on May 11th. Officers noticed a vehicle speeding while swerving in its lane several times. Officers initiated a traffic stop and immediately noticed Rivers’ bloodshot eyes, sluggish movements, slurred speech, and the smell of alcohol coming from him. Officers then asked Rivers to perform a sobriety test, which he consented to but performed poorly, showing several indicators of intoxication. Rivers was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Charlene Quarles assaults stepfather after argument on Poplar Court

53-year-old Charlene Quarles was involved in an altercation with her stepfather, Frank Adams, at their Poplar Court residence on May 11th. When officers arrived, they observed Adams with blood on his shirt, blood coming from his ear, and scratches on his face and neck. Adams stated that he had an argument with Quarles and wanted to call 911. When he noticed his phone was dead, he went to use the home phone. As he reached for the phone, Quarles stopped him.

Adams then attempted to go for his wife’s phone, but Quarles threw him to the ground. While holding Adams to the ground, Quarles started scratching him in his eyes and on his head. Once Quarles let him go, Adams made his way to his car and drove down the street, where he met with officers. When officers spoke with Quarles, she stated that Adams was belligerent about his house rules. She stated that while she was going to her room, Adams struck her in her chest. A witness corroborated more of Adams’s story, so Charlene was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
