Hamilton County Schools Assistant Principal Richard Rorie assaults son for not doing chores

42-year-old Assistant Principal of North Park Museum Magnet School in Hamilton County, Richard Leon Rorie, had a domestic incident with his son, Kemari McIntosh, at their Harrison Way residence at 1:59 a.m. on June 10th. Richard told responding officers that he and Kemari argued over house chores. He added that the argument escalated and had to be broken up by Nicole Rorie. After this, Richard got past Nicole, then he began to chase Kemari in the hallway. During this, Kemari slipped, and Richard mounted him before grabbing the back of his neck, leaving visible marks. Richard Rorie was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Martell Jones walks in street with his pants down, nearly gets struck by vehicle

23-year-old Martell Timmieon Jones was observed lying on the sidewalk at Lincoln Homes at 12:31 a.m. on June 6th. After noticing this, officers approached him and saw a red straw between his legs. During their interaction, Jones put the straw in his back pocket. Officers later discovered the straw contained a white, powdery residue. Officers also discovered Jones had a lifetime ban from all housing authorities effective since June 15th, 2021. Jones was then taken into custody for unlawful drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass.

At 12:30 a.m. on June 13th, Jones was nearly hit by a vehicle while walking in the middle of Lincoln Drive with his pants down to his knees. Officers then approached him and noticed he showed signs of impairment. When asked, Jones told officers he was unaware of almost being struck by a car. Officers determined Jones was trespassing since Lincoln Drive is near Lincoln Homes and is owned by housing authorities. Jones was deemed a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication and criminal trespass.

DUI: Charles Moore tells officers “You got me!” after failing sobriety tests

61-year-old Charles Moore was caught driving under the influence near Robb Avenue and Marion Street on June 12th. Officers observed a vehicle traveling with a non-functioning left tail light and conducted a traffic stop. Officers approached Moore and detected the scent of alcohol on his breath, along with other signs of intoxication. While Moore was speaking to officers, he admitted to having two shots of liquor before driving and agreed to do sobriety tests. After performing poorly on the sobriety tests, he told officers, “You got me!” and went on to say he had been drinking for a longer time than he had initially stated. Moore was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Shamar Ricketts tells University Landing employee “You don’t want these problems”

28-year-old Shamar Owen Ricketts threatened Quentin Jones at the University Landing apartments at 12:56 p.m. on June 12th. Jones, an employee at the location, called 911, stating that he spoke to a black male wearing an olive green shirt and jeans, later identified as Ricketts. Jones noted that he told Ricketts he was trespassing and could not be on the property. During their interaction, Jones said Ricketts had become aggressive and told him, “You don’t want these problems.” Ricketts pointed at him and pulled up his shirt, revealing a black handgun. Jones told officers that this caused him to fear for his safety and the people inside the building. While officers were at the location, they encountered Ricketts near Main Street and 5th Street. After officers conducted a show-up, Jones identified him as the person in question. Ricketts was taken into custody for aggravated assault.

Shayne Davis strangles ex-wife, points shotgun at her during argument

37-year-old Shayne Davis was involved in a domestic altercation with his ex-wife, Destinee Cleek, at their Dover Road residence on May 22nd. When officers arrived on the scene, no one was there, so they contacted William Cleek, Destinee’s husband. He informed officers that Destinee had told him that Davis had assaulted her. Officers then told William that since the assault happened to Destinee, they would have to speak to her. Cleek stated that officers would need to find Destinee at the Walmart on Dover Road because she didn’t have a phone. When officers arrived at Walmart, they contacted Destinee, who was sitting in a red Jeep Grand Cherokee with her children. When questioned, Destinee told officers that she did not want Davis to get in trouble since he was the father of her children.

Shortly after, Destinee tells officers she went inside her house and found Davis sleeping on a couch. She stated that they nicely greeted each other shortly before an argument started. According to Destinee, Davis got up, pulled out a shotgun, cocked it back, and pointed it at her. Once she told him that she was going outside to get some fresh air, he put the gun down. After coming back inside and asking Davis what was wrong with him, Destinee proceeded to attempt to get the gun away from him. Destinee was taken down to the ground but stated that it happened so fast that she didn’t know how it happened. She also claims that during the altercation, she was strangled by Davis. Davis was deemed the primary aggressor, and a warrant was issued. Davis was taken into custody for aggravated assault on June 12th.

Michael Weidel punches ex-girlfriend in face during conversation about relationship

37-year-old Michael Weidel was involved in a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend and roommate, Mika Dotter, at the Publix Super Market on Highway 76 at 11:53 p.m. on June 7th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Dotter. Dotter stated that while she and Weidel were driving to a bar, she and he had a normal conversation about their relationship and how she felt. Dotter noted that she might have said something that Weidel took negatively because, during their discussion, Weidel grabbed her by the back of her head and snatched her downwards. Dotter claims that after Weidel snatched her by the hair, he punched her multiple times in the face. Officers reported that they did not notice any bruises, and Dotter did not need medical attention. Officers attempted to contact Weidel via cell phone and went to his address, but no contact was made. Due to the allegation of an assault happening, a warrant was issued, and Weidel was taken into custody for domestic assault on June 12th.
