32-year-old Tyrone Bennett was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Jemaica Foster, at their Jared Ray Drive residence on June 21st. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Foster, who stated that she had argued with Bennett last night because he went through her phone and saw text messages he did not like. Foster informed officers that Bennett became upset, grabbed her by the neck, and pushed her head back into a wall. Officers could not see any sign of bruising, and Bennett was not on the scene when officers arrived. Officers were unable to contact him, so a warrant was issued for his arrest. Bennett was deemed the primary aggressor, and later that day, he was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Stacey Jackson caught by Advance Financial cashing fraudulent check worth $6,300

23-year-old Stacey Jackson was seen cashing fraudulent checks at Advance Financial on Fort Campbell Boulevard on June 9th, 2023. That day, Jackson arrived at the business and brought a check for an IRS refund of $6,300. The check was cashed that day, and Advance Financial later discovered that it was fraudulent. Employees at Advance Financial reached out to Jackson, who stated that she knew the check was fraudulent but agreed to repay the money. Jackson was never able to pay the money back, so Advance Financial wished to pursue criminal charges. A warrant was issued, and Jackson was taken into custody for forgery on June 21st, 2024.

Michelle Harris caught with Fentanyl after driving on suspended license near Circle K

50-year-old Michelle Harris was caught with fentanyl while driving on a suspended license near Circle K on Dover Road on June 16th. Officers observed a vehicle at Circle K and ran its tags. Michelle Harris, the vehicle’s owner, had a revoked driver’s license for failure to comply with financial responsibility. Officers then observed Harris exit the store, enter the vehicle’s driver seat, and begin traveling west on Dover Road. Officers then stopped the car near Dover and High Point Road. Officers then informed Harris of the reason for the stop and asked her to step out of the vehicle.

The front passenger was then identified as Casey Outland, and the rear passenger was identified as Antonio Poindexter. While speaking with officers, she admitted that she did not have insurance on the vehicle. Harris then consented to letting police search her car. During the search, officers located a folded pink piece of paper that contained suspected fentanyl in the floorboard. The suspected substance tested positive for fentanyl and had a weight of less than 0.5 grams. Another pink piece of paper with residue was located near the center console. Harris was then taken into custody. Outland and Poindexter were also arrested for separate charges. When both of them were interviewed, they stated that the fentanyl Belonged to Harris. Harris was deemed the owner of the drugs. Harris was taken into custody and charged with driving on a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance, and no proof of insurance.

Kira Pace blows through 2 stop signs, tells police she did nothing wrong

32-year-old Kira Pace was seen failing to completely stop at a stop sign on June 19th. When officers started following Pace, her vehicle sped up, blew through another stop sign, and took a sharp left. Pace was seen then pulling into a long driveway on Woodard Street. When officers knocked on the door, Pace began yelling that she was not coming to the door. As officers were leaving, Pace yelled out her window that she was not coming out because she did nothing wrong. Officers were later able to identify Kira Pace as the driver. Pace was later taken into custody for reckless driving on June 20th. Pace was previously arrested in July of 2023 for assaulting her co-worker.

Corey Simms caught with 28 grams of marijuana after speeding on scooter

44-year-old Corey Simms was seen speeding on a white scooter at West Coyote Trail on June 19th. Officers observed Simms traveling at 66mph in a 45mph zone while passing cars and changing lanes. When officers conducted a traffic stop, they observed Simms perform a U-turn into the parking lot of a 7-Eleven. Officers continued to attempt a traffic stop until they were able to take Simms into custody at the rear of the building. It was found that two objects were thrown while Simms was driving around the parking lot. Simms, without being questioned, told officers that he ditched the marijuana because he did not want to get stopped with it on him. The marijuana was measured to be 28 grams. It was also found that Simms did not possess the correct license to drive his scooter on the road. Simms was taken, then transported to booking and charged with tampering with evidence, speeding, simple possession, and driving without an M-class driver’s license.

Andrew Nelson caught driving under the influence after riding someone’s bumper

On June 20th, 40-year-old Andrew Nelson was spotted driving under the influence near the intersection of Highway 48 and Highway 149. Officers observed Nelson’s vehicle tailgating another vehicle in regular traffic, prompting them to initiate a traffic stop. Upon approaching Nelson’s vehicle and making contact, officers immediately noticed the smell of alcohol, as well as Nelson’s slurred speech and slowed reactions. Another unit arrived to assist, and they spoke with Nelson. During questioning, Nelson confessed to having consumed five beers before driving. When officers asked Nelson to perform sobriety tests, he refused. Additionally, it was discovered that Nelson’s driver’s license had been suspended due to his refusal to undergo DUI testing. Consequently, Nelson was taken into custody for driving under under the influence, following too closely, driving on a suspended license, and implied consent.

DUI: Michael Dew tells officers he took Trazodone after running stop signs

23-year-old Michael Dew was seen running stop signs near Palmyra Market on Highway 149 at 3:40 a.m. on June 20th. Officers observed an ambulance following a white truck heading towards Highway 48 that was failing to maintain its lane. Officers followed them and observed the ambulance and truck making a right turn on Hawkins Road. Officers observed the truck failing to stop at a marked stop sign and noticed the truck veering into the center yellow line and then abruptly correcting itself. A traffic stop was initiated, and upon contact with Dew, officers noticed he appeared intoxicated and that he would “zone out.” Officers proceeded to ask Dew to exit the vehicle, where they asked him if he had taken any medication or alcohol, to which he replied, “Trazodone.” Dew stated several times that he was tired, which is a known side effect of the medication. Dew was then asked to perform sobriety tests, which he agreed to but performed poorly on. Michael Dew was then taken into custody for driving under the influence, stop sign violation, and improper lane use.

24-year-old Martayia Wright of the US Army was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Tylertown Road on June 20th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Wright, who was unaware of where she was or what was happening. They asked her if she had anything to drink, to which she replied that she had two shots of vodka around 3 hours before the accident. Wright took sobriety tests and performed them poorly. Wright was later taken into custody for driving under the influence.

47-year-old Dwight David Justice II, a Google employee, had a domestic incident with his stepchildren, Austin Faber and Faber’s 17-year-old sister, at their Lake Road residence on May 14th. On June 19th, Shae Marie Justice, Faber’s mother, and her daughter reported the occurrence at the sheriff’s office. They informed officers that Justice II was upset about getting bit by a dog that they were temporarily housing, during which he punched his autistic stepson, Faber, in the mouth, picked up his stepdaughter by her arms, and threw her across the room, leaving bruises on her knees. Ms. Justice provided photos of their injuries to the officers. Justice II was then taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault.

Lanayvion Thompkins jailed after officers catch him tossing stolen vapes

18-year-old Lanayvion Cortez Thompkins and his minor friend were seen running away from A2Z Smokeshop on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard early June 19th. Witnesses alerted the authorities and advised them that two black males were running from the establishment’s front glass door, which was smashed. When officers arrived, they were informed that the two males ran towards the neighborhood behind the location. Shortly after, officers found an individual, later identified as Thompkins, dropping what appeared to be vape products from a window at a residence. Officers approached Thompkins and his friend, recovered the vape products, and interviewed Thompkins. During the interview, Thompkins admitted to kicking in the glass of the front door and stealing five vapes from an unlocked case inside the store. Thompkins was taken into custody for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and burglary.

Christopher Gore punches coworker after telling them to “step outside”

38-year-old Florim USA employee Christopher Curtis Gore had an altercation with a co-worker, Omar Velez-Rivera, on June 14th. Officers were called to Tennova ER, where they spoke with Velez-Rivera, who explained that he exchanged words with Gore while working, to which Gore responded by telling him to step outside and fight him. Then, after the end of their shift, Gore confronted him in the parking lot, and when Velez-Rivera put his belongings on the ground, Gore slapped and punched him in the face. Velez-Rivera was knocked to the ground, and Gore continued attacking him, placing his hand around his throat. Velez-Rivera stated, “I was in fear of being choked out,” but could not defend himself because Gore was pinning him. When officers spoke with Gore over the phone, he denied anything happening when he left work. A witness, Ariel Rice, informed officers that she recorded the incident. Gore was later taken into custody for aggravated assault.

Local rapper “Trill Cuda” chokeslams girlfriend during altercation — Avante Moss

23-year-old Local rapper “Trill Cuda,” aka Avante Moss, was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Chloe Haney, at their Professional Park Drive apartment at 3:24 p.m. on June 5th. Haney told officers that during an argument between her and Moss, he had thrown her onto the couch and punched her once in the back of the head. After this, she stood up, and they immediately began arguing again before Moss picked her up by her throat with both hands and slammed her onto the ground, causing her to hit her head. Haney then stood up, and they continued arguing again before he picked her up for the third time and dropped her onto the ground, causing her to land on her elbow and hip. Haney informed officers that she attempted to call 911, but Moss grabbed her iPhone 12 out of her hand and threw it on the ground. Moss threw the phone again, breaking it into two pieces. Haney’s phone was valued at approximately $600. Officers observed injuries to Haney’s neck, elbow, head, arms, and legs. A warrant was issued, and Moss was taken into custody for aggravated assault, vandalism, and interference with emergency calls on June 19th.

Kelvin Corbett Jr jailed after officers find 14 grams of marijuana in his car

25-year-old Kelvin Corbett was caught with drugs near the Paddock Place apartment complex on Union Hall Road on June 18th. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle with suspected illegal window tint and a tinted license plate cover. As officers approached the car, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Corbett, who was the driver, was then asked to exit the car, in which Corbett admitted to officers that there was marijuana and a scale inside the vehicle. Officers then proceeded to search Corbett, where they located an iPhone. Officers then conducted a search of the car, discovering a black backpack that contained suspected marijuana, a box of sandwich bags, a digital scale, two packs of rolling papers, five packs of cigars, eleven plastic bags with residue, a tray with residue, two lighters, and two plastic cups. A portion of the suspected marijuana was tested and came back positive for THC and had a weight of 14.175 grams. Corbett was then taken into custody for a Schedule VI drug violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

James Tummins flees from police after breaking into someone’s camper

26-year-old James Tummins was seen attempting to break into someone’s Dean Road residence on June 16th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with the victim of the crime, who showed officers where Tummins came onto her porch and attempted to make entry by using the door handle to open and push it open. The victim told officers that Tummins then proceeded to take several items from her porch and walk out of her camera’s view. While officers were on the scene, they observed a camper in the front yard with a side window knocked out, and the items Tummins had taken were left in the front yard. Officers also noticed Tummins walking from behind the victim’s home and running away on foot when officers gave him commands. Tummins was then tackled by officers and placed on the ground under arrest. Moments later, Tummins admitted to knocking out the windows of the camper and was taken into custody for aggravated burglary, evading arrest, and vandalism.

Quinten Rhodes jailed after being caught driving on suspended license

31-year-old Quinten Rhodes was involved in a car crash at Windriver and Hazelwood Road at 1:36 p.m. on June 16th. When officers arrived at the scene of the crash, they observed a vehicle with dark windows showing 15 percent tint. The car involved in the crash had a sticker on the registration that did not belong to the vehicle, and the registration also expired last year. An investigation of Rhodes showed that he had a suspended driver’s license for failure to pay fines. Since Rhodes had a history of failing to appear in court, he was taken into custody for illegal window tint, driving on a suspended license, and driving an unregistered vehicle.

Crystal Eads booked after attempting to sell stolen iPhone at an EcoATM

41-year-old Crystal Eads was seen trying to unlock a stolen phone at Best Buy on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard on June 15th. An Employee of Best Buy had called to report that an iPhone was turned in at the service desk by Eads so that they could unlock the phone. The employee informed the officers that Eads would return to pick up the phone in two hours. While employees were unlocking the phone, it was flagged as stolen. The phone was reported stolen the previous day, and officers obtained surveillance footage of Eads attempting to pawn the phone at the EcoATM at the Kroger on Dover crossing.

After Eads returned to Best Buy, officers made contact with her. She claimed that she bought the phone from a stranger for 20 dollars. Eads later admitted to officers that she had picked up the phone at Walmart, where the theft had been reported the previous day. Officers noticed that Eads also matched the individual in the footage of the person attempting to pawn the phone and was wearing the same sunglasses at the time of the arrest. Eads was then taken into custody and charged with property theft.

DUI: Maegan Outland jailed after officers find empty alcohol containers

21-year-old Maegan Outland was involved in a crash near Highway 374 and Lafayette Road at 3:53 a.m. on June 15th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Outland and immediately noticed the strong smell of alcohol coming from her. Officers proceeded to ask her to perform sobriety tests, which she accepted; however, she performed poorly on all tests given. Officers then searched her vehicle and found multiple open beer containers, as well as one empty fireball and one beer with a quarter of alcohol inside it. Outland was deemed intoxicated, and she was taken into custody for driving under the influence, having an open container of alcohol, and exercising due care.

Donovan McKinnie cited after driving 90 mph in a 70 mph zone

31-year-old Donovan Keith McKinnie was observed speeding and swerving in his blue Chevy Malibu on I-24 late October 24th, 2023. He was clocked going 75 and 90 mph before decelerating in a 70-mph zone. Also, 911 was called regarding McKinnie watching videos from his phone inside his car while driving. After officers conducted a traffic stop, he was cited for the occurrence. Then, he failed to appear in court on January 9th, 2024. McKinnie was later booked on the citation of reckless driving, speeding, and using a cell phone while driving on June 14th, 2024.
