Sarah Sadler forces her way into Kirkwood High School during altercation with teacher

35-year-old Sarah Jane Sadler had an incident with a teacher, Stacy Fitting, at Kirkwood High School in the early hours of July 16th. Fitting told responding officers that she had been assaulted by a parent, later identified as Sadler. Fitting believed Sadler to be the parent of a student at the school to take senior pictures. Fitting further explained that she noticed Sadler and their child attempting to enter the front office door. However, it was locked, so Fitting opened it and spoke with Sadler, who appeared agitated. Fitting asked Sadler how she could help. Sadler explained that she and her child needed to enter the building and were already late. Fitting told Sadler they could not enter through the front office door and closed it. After this, Fitting re-opened the door to ask for their names, which was when Sadler pushed through the doorway and entered the office. Fitting went into detail, stating that she told Sadler and her child that they could not go further into the building from there and would have to leave. Then, Fitting walked to the front door to escort them out. As Fitting did this, she said Sadler shoulder-checked her on the way out, causing her to drop all her belongings. Deputies reviewed footage of the occurrence, which corroborated Fitting’s statements. After this, officers identified Sadler as the person in question, and Fitting later verified Sadler’s identity. Then, a warrant was issued for Sadler’s arrest. Sadler was taken into custody for burglary on August 12th.

Emmanuel Wade steals $43 gun holster from Academy Sports

21-year-old Emmanuel Wade was caught shoplifting at Academy Sports on Hampton Place on August 12th. Officers arrived and spoke with employees at the location. Store employees informed police that they observed Wade taking an item, placing it in a bag, and walking out. Once officers contacted Wade and asked him if he had taken any items from the store, he said, “Yes.” It was then discovered that Wade had stolen a gun holster worth $43. Wade was then taken into custody and charged with theft of property.

Jonte Claude pulls wife’s hair out during argument

26-year-old Jonte Trevon Claude, an employee of Ross, was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Rucelle Alcendor, on August 10th. Upon their arrival, officers spoke to Rucelle. She explained that an argument with Jonte had escalated into a physical altercation. Rucelle stated that during the argument, Jonte pulled her by her hair and grabbed her. After Rucelle provided officers with the hair that had been pulled out, they deemed Jonte the primary aggressor. Jonte was taken into custody for domestic assault.

David Maness jailed after slashing tires of over 10 vehicles at First Class Auto

48-year-old David Maness was caught vandalizing cars at First Class Auto on August 12th. When officers arrived, they were told ten vehicles in their lot had their tires slashed. Officers were provided surveillance footage from the location showing Maness walking around the lot and slashing tires. Later, the same officers were contacted because Maness returned to First Class Auto wearing the same clothes. Camera footage from a neighboring business revealed that Maness had slashed two more cars’ tires at Dominos. The damage to the cars at First Class Auto totaled over $1,000, and the damage to the vehicles at Dominos was approximately $150 each. David Maness was taken into custody and charged with three counts of vandalism.

De Homer Thompson steals woman’s $460 Smith & Wesson handgun

38-year-old De Homer Thompson stole from Alissa Newby while staying at her Old Russellville Pike apartment on January 1st, 2023. On February 14th, 2023, Newby filed a police report stating that Thompson was staying with her. She further explained that after she told Thompson he needed to leave, he gathered his belongings and left. Then, Newby said she discovered her Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 Handgun, estimated $460 in value, was missing once he was gone. She added that Thompson was the only one in the residence who had known where she kept her gun. A warrant was then issued for Thompson’s arrest that day. Thompson was later taken into custody for theft on August 12th, 2024.

DUI: Heather Hendrickson shows officers bag of multiple pills, claims they’re prescribed

33-year-old Heather Marie Hendrickson was pulled over for a minor traffic violation near 931 Café on August 13th. When officers approached her vehicle, they noticed a strong alcoholic odor emitting from it. They asked Hendrickson if she had anything to drink, to which she responded, saying she had not but admitted to taking her prescription pills earlier. Then, she showed the police a small bag with three different pills in it that she claimed to have taken. However, she could not show them proof of her prescription. Then, Hendrickson consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Hendrickson was taken into custody for possession of pills without prescription and driving under the influence.

DUI: Joseph Griggs hits concrete barrier during traffic stop over window tint

24-year-old Joseph Griggs was stopped for his window tint and an obstructed plate at the Crossland Avenue and Shearon Lane intersection on August 15th. While Griggs was pulling into Circle K for the traffic stop, he pulled in too far and bumped into a concrete pillar. Once officers came into contact with Griggs, they reported that they smelled the odor of alcohol coming from his breath. A test of Griggs’ window tint revealed that it was 17%. When officers asked Griggs for his ID, he handed them his passport and credit card. Officers again reported that they observed signs of impairment, so they prompted Griggs to perform sobriety tests. After refusing to participate in the sobriety tests, Griggs was taken into custody and charged with illegal window tint, driving under the influence, implied consent violation, and failing to display registration plates.

Allena Waltman drives home after being pulled over for speeding, says she “did not evade arrest”

29-year-old Allena Raeclare Waltman was speeding in her silver SUV near Needmore Road and Beckett Drive on August 11th. Officers observed Waltman going 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. Officers then conducted a traffic stop, and Waltman pulled into the nearby parking lot. However, when the police pulled in behind her, she drove away from the scene. After this, officers checked with NCIC and discovered that Waltman resided nearby. When they followed up at the provided address, they spoke with Waltman. She stated that she started to panic and did not want to pull over. Waltman added that she “did not evade arrest” and “just left to go home.” Waltman was then taken into custody for evading arrest and speeding.

Eric Fernandez jailed after causing multi-vehicle collision while drag racing his Camaro

23-year-old Eric Eduardo Fernandez was involved in a multi-vehicle collision near Purple Heart Parkway and Evans Road on the afternoon of August 10th. Responding officers gathered a statement from Fernandez while he was getting checked out in the back of the ambulance. During the questioning, a medic asked the police if Fernandez had been racing. Fernandez stated he was, adding that the race started from the Purple Heart Parkway and Jordan Road intersection and ended at the Purple Heart Parkway and Evans Road intersection. Fernandez said he was in lane 2 trying to out-speed a Honda in lane 1, which was going much faster than him. Then, Fernandez explained that a white pickup truck began to brake at the Purple Heart Parkway and Evans Road intersection. He stated this was when he rear-ended the truck because he could not slow down in time, causing it to spin. The police spoke with another involved driver, who stated that Fernandez drove his red Camaro into his tan Buick SUV before hitting the pickup truck. Officers discovered that the tire markings show Fernandez started braking 679 feet before crashing. Fernandez informed the police that he had been going 70 mph. The collision caused a neck injury to the driver of the tan Buick SUV and whiplash to the driver of the white pickup truck. Fernandez was taken into custody for drag racing and failing to exercise due care.

33-year-old Raven Symone Cowan left the Madison Street Walmart without paying for services on March 7th. The police report stated that Cowan entered the store through the TLE department and was written up for a service to receive a new headlight. After the installment, Cowan got into her vehicle and drove off without paying the $32 she owed. A warrant was then issued for Cowan’s arrest on March 21st. Cowan was later taken into custody for theft on August 10th.

18-year-old Chizera Sanders drunkenly assaults mother during argument about her illegally drinking

18-year-old Chizera Sanders was caught drinking by her mother, Patrice Sanders, on August 10th. When officers arrived and spoke with Patrice, she said she picked up Chizera at a friend’s house. Once Patrice picked Chizera up, she learned that Chizera had been drinking illegally. Patrice reported that they began arguing about Chizera drinking during their car ride home. During the argument, Patrice stated that Chizera grabbed the steering wheel while she was driving. Patrice added that Chizera started hitting her on her shoulders and face. Once Chizera realized her mother was on the phone with the police, she exited the car. Chizera then began walking southbound on Trenton Road. Officers later made contact with Chizera as she was walking barefoot in front of Northeast High School. When approached by police, Chizera confessed that she had consumed alcohol. Following this admission, Chimera was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and public intoxication.

Seth Galassi throws girlfriend at wall & spits on her during altercation

48-year-old Seth Galassi was caught abusing his girlfriend, Taylor Cruz, at his Evans Road residence on August 9th. When officers arrived and spoke with Cruz, she told them that Galassi hit her in the face and threw her against a wall. Cruz noted that once she fell to the floor, Galassi spat on her multiple times. While conversing with Cruz, officers observed swelling in her left eye and bruising on both of her arms. Officers later made contact with Galassi at his residence. Galassi initially told officers the argument was only verbal. However, once Galassi was in custody, he changed his statements. He told officers that he was actually the one who got assaulted. Galassi added that he was punched several times. Due to officers not observing any injuries on Galassi and his statements being inconsistent, he was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Anthony Graves assaults husband & takes his phone during argument

21-year-old Anthony Graves was involved in a domestic altercation with his husband, Marcus, at their Solis apartment on August 8th. When officers arrived, they made contact with Marcus and Anthony. Marcus told officers that during an argument that they were having, Anthony pushed him. Marcus added that Anthony had also taken his phone from him. Officers didn’t observe any injuries on the couple. However, officers did find that Anthony was still in possession of Marcus’ phone during their conversation. Anthony Graves was then deemed the primary aggressor. Graves was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

David Sanchez hit by semi-truck during donut after ramming into friend’s car

24-year-old David Sanchez was involved in an altercation with his friend, Gregory White, on Ashland City Road on August 8th. When officers arrived, they spoke with White about the incident. White told them that when he went to Sanchez’s house to get some of his tools, Sanchez threatened him and told him to leave. White stated that Sanchez started chasing him in a Chevy Suburban once he left. White then reported to officers that a short time into the chase, Sanchez bumped into his car. After Sanchez hit his vehicle, White stated he pulled into a nearby parking lot on Ashland City Road. Once White was parked, Sanchez rammed into the side of his car and did a donut around it. While Sanchez was doing the donut, he entered the street and was hit by a semi-truck shortly after. After being hit by the semi, Sanchez then hastily left the location. Officers spoke with several witnesses who corroborated that Sanchez intentionally hit White’s car and that he got hit by a semi-truck once he left. Officers later made contact with Sanchez at a residence on Circle Drive. During the officer’s investigation, a crash investigator concluded that what White had alleged was true. It was later found that Sanchez had also been driving without a valid license. Due to this, Sanchez was taken into custody for aggravated assault, driving without a license, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Miranda Spurr jailed after slapping husband in face during altercation

31-year-old Miranda Spurr was involved in an altercation with her husband, Shaun Spurr, on August 4th. Officers received evidence that Miranda slapped Shaun in the face. No injuries were observed on Shaun. However, Miranda was still taken into custody and charged with domestic assault on August 7th. Further investigation of the incident showed that Miranda and Shaun both have a history of domestic violence.

Kurt Suiter steals stepmother’s $23,000 boat & trailer after breaking into her home

36-year-old Kurt Suiter was caught breaking into his stepmother, Michelle Suiter’s, home on Circle Road on August 8th. Officers arrived and spoke with Michelle about the incident. Michelle stated that Kurt had entered her residence while she was at work without informing her. Michelle also mentioned that Kurt had cut the lock of her Legend Boat trailer and that her boat and trailer were missing. During Michelle’s conversation with law enforcement, she was sent a message from Kurt. The message from Kurt stated that the boat was in his possession. Kurt also specified that he was keeping the boat in a safe location until the “will was finalized” and the “issues between their family stopped.” The value of the boat and trailer were estimated to be around $23,000. Kurt was later taken into custody and charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property on August 9th.

Austin Lee indicted by Grand Jury for multiple charges including money laundering

A Montgomery County Grand Jury had indicted 26-year-old Austin Lee for two counts of money laundering, one count of evading arrest, one count of assault, and one count of false reporting that occurred between the dates of August 21st, 2022, and August 24th, 2022. The indictments allege that on or about August 21st, 2022, Lee knowingly and unlawfully intended to deprive Z-Mart of property valued at $1,000. The indictment also alleges that Lee knowingly intended to conceal the property and attempted to make a financial transaction using it to purchase illegal narcotics. Another indictment alleges that on or around August 24th, 2022, Lee knowingly took property owned by Marathon Gas Station and also took property from Bethany Gibbs by using violence or putting her in fear for her life. Lee knowingly attempted to conceal the currency and use it to conduct a financial transaction such as bond money. The indictment also alleges that Lee attempted to flee from officers and attempted to conceal himself from a person he knew to be an officer. The indictment says that Lee caused bodily harm to Gibbs, knowingly and recklessly causing injury to her. Lee allegedly also attempted to make a report or statement to an officer concerning a fact about an offense within his concern. Lee knowingly gave the officer the wrong information about the robbery’s proceeds, knowing it was false to hinder officers from finding it. Austin Lee was taken into custody and charged with two counts of money laundering, evading arrest, assault, and false report on August 9th. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $4,000.

DUI: Kevin Cartwright swerves between lanes on TN 374 West in his Chevy Silverado

31-year-old Kevin Cartwright, an employee of Hankook, was seen swerving in his black Chevy Silverado on TN 374 West on August 9th. Highway patrol observed this and made contact with Cartwright. During their interaction, officers reported that he smelled of alcohol and refused to speak. When Cartwright was requested to exit his vehicle, he lost his balance and needed assistance from a deputy. Officers asked Cartwright to perform sobriety tests, which he consented to. Cartwright then performed poorly on the tests by showing numerous signs of intoxication. Cartwright was then taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and failing to maintain lane of travel.

Matthew Neely nearly falls over drunk after calling police at Club Stilettos

29-year-old Matthew Neely reported to law enforcement that he felt like he was going to get robbed while he was at Club Stilettos on August 9th. When officers arrived and made contact with Neely, they noted that they immediately smelled the odor of alcohol on his breath. Officers then observed several signs of impairment. During their encounter with Neely, there was a moment when officers noticed him accidentally drop his keys and nearly collapse to the ground. Due to Neely’s level of intoxication, officers determined that he was a danger to himself. Neely was then taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Brooklyn Major assaults woman after breaking into her home during altercation

19-year-old Brooklyn Major was caught after assaulting Hattie Perez at a Bridgette Drive residence on August 8th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Gloria Perez and her children, Hattie and Nathan Perez. All three parties informed officers that Major and a Juvenile had been sleeping on their couch for the last week and a half. Hattie, however, had informed them that their landlord did not allow anyone else to live at the residence and that they had to leave. She claims that both Major and the minor had initially left the residence, but they returned to pick up the items they had left there. Hattie then claims to have placed their items on the porch and, upon their return, informed them that their things were on the porch. Hattie and Gloria told officers that they both began banging on the door and demanding to be let inside to retrieve other items they claimed were still in the house. Hattie then advised that the pair then forced the door open and forced entry into the house, where they then began attacking her. Nathan, who was across the street, then ran towards the residence. Gloria, Hattie, and Nathan all became involved in a physical fight with Major and the juvenile. Officers then spoke with Neighbors who stated they witnessed both Major and the juvenile force their way into the house and attack Hattie at the door. The neighbors also claimed to have seen the two in and out of the house for about two weeks. Major was deemed the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for aggravated burglary.
