DUI: Jerry Dinkins loses control of Infiniti, spins 180 degrees out of Publix parking lot

On July 20th, 35-year-old Jerry Dinkins was seen pulling out of the Tiny Town Road Publix parking lot in a black Infiniti. The Infiniti accelerated rapidly, lost traction, and spun 180 degrees onto Tiny Town Road.

After observing this, officers made contact with Dinkins, who admitted to drinking alcohol before he started driving. Dinkins consented to sobriety tests and showed several signs of impairment. Dinkins was then read implied consent and taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Michael Sampson jailed after 5 car crash, refuses to test his blood because it’s “dirty”

39-year-old Michael Sampson was caught driving under the influence after a car accident near Taco Johns on Fort Campbell Boulevard on July 20th. Officers arrived at the scene and observed at least five vehicles involved in the crash. They spoke with Sampson, the driver of one of the vehicles, and noticed the smell of alcohol on his person. Officers then noticed Sampson had slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet.

When asked, Sampson denied consuming any illegal substances or alcohol. Sampson also refused to perform sobriety tests. Sampson was detained and taken to Sango ER for a blood test. Sampson initially refused, saying his blood was “dirty” and that he was not providing blood. However, Sampson eventually complied after more officers arrived and warned him of additional charges. Sampson was then taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

DUI: Aaron Ruiz scores 0.165% BAC after speeding out of Electric Cowboy parking lot

22-year-old Aaron Ruiz was seen speeding out of the troubled Electric Cowboy parking lot, nearly hitting a few of the security guards and another individual in the early hours of July 20th. Officers were investigating at an unrelated call when they witnessed this and flashed their lights at Ruiz, making him stop his truck. The police approached Ruiz, and after he handed them his driver’s license, he admitted to having four to five beers. Ruiz then consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Ruiz was then advised of implied consent, to which he agreed and provided a breath sample that returned a 0.165% BAC. Ruiz was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Ian Bethea runs around Eagles Crest at Durrett parking lot screaming with no shirt or shoes on

25-year-old Ian Bethea was seen screaming in the Eagles Crest at Durrett parking lot on July 20th. Once officers arrived, they observed Bethea running down Durrett Drive without a shirt and shoes, holding a piece of a metal bed frame. After law enforcement’s interaction with Bethea, they reported that he seemed like he was under the influence of a narcotic. Officers determined that Bethea was a threat to himself and a public nuisance. Bethea was then taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Octavious Padgett slaps wife in face during altercation

33-year-old Octavious Rassan Padgett, a Memphis Communications Corp employee, had a domestic altercation with his wife, Makayla Mayfield, at a Clarksville residence on July 21st. Responding officers met with Mayfield and observed that she had a slight redness on her cheek. Officers then found probable cause to believe that Padgett slapped her on the right side of her face. Padgett was determined the primary aggressor due to having a domestic history with Mayfield. Padgett was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: James McCain caught with multiple guns after hitting multiple mailboxes & another vehicle

33-year-old James McCain was seen in a Chevy Equinox hitting mailboxes and another vehicle on Peabody Drive on July 21st. When officers made contact with McCain, he was standing outside his vehicle. McCain told officers that he had a handgun on him and let them remove it from his pocket. While speaking to McCain, officers reported that they noticed the faint smell of alcohol coming from him, as well as other signs of intoxication. When asked about it, McCain admitted that he had alcohol earlier in the day.

McCain consented to sobriety tests, but he showed signs of impairment, so he was taken into custody. During a probable cause search of McCain’s vehicle, officers found another handgun between his driver seat and center console. McCain then refused to provide a breath sample after being read implied consent. McCain was promptly transported to booking and charged with possession of a handgun while under the influence, driving under the influence, and exercising due care.

DUI: Shaniqua Jackson caught with 4.5 grams of marijuana under her wig in booking

24-year-old Saniqua Onamesha Jackson, an OEM Assembly employee, was observed speeding in her blue Chevy Sonic down Fort Campbell Boulevard in the early hours of July 21st. Officers noticed Jackson going 60 mph in a 45-mph zone and swerving between lanes. Officers then conducted a traffic stop at Ringgold Fine & Wine Spirits. When officers approached the Chevy, Jackson admitted to consuming alcohol before driving.

Jackson consented to sobriety tests, and performed poorly. After being informed of implied consent, Jackson agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.104 BAC%. While in booking officers performed a search of Jackson’s person. During the search, officers found a pink bag containing suspected marijuana under Jackson’s wig. The substance tested positive for marijuana and weighed 4.5 grams. Jackson was taken into custody for driving under the influence and contraband in a penal institution.
