28-year-old Brandon Deandre Hawkins had a domestic altercation with his roommate, Nia Tolbert, at their West Bel Air Boulevard residence around 1:17 a.m. on June 7th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Tolbert, who stated she and Hawkins had argued. Tolbert said the argument escalated when he wrapped his arms around her and picked her up off the ground. She stated Hawkins carried her out of their front door and slammed her onto the ground. Then, when Tolbert got to her feet, Hawkins slammed her again before doing it a third time. The repeated slams left several abrasions on her right leg and elbow. Hawkins was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.
Brandon Deandre Hawkins of West Bel Air Boulevard in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on June 7th, charged with domestic assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $500.
