42-year-old Derrick Wade Hughes had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Raynekiaqua Womack, at his Abby Creek Drive residence on June 13th. On June 17th, Womack alerted the authorities and advised responding officers of the incident. Raynekiaqua stated that Hughes strangled her with one hand after pushing her into the wall. She added that she could not breathe and that he released her after a couple of seconds. A warrant was issued for his arrest that day. Hughes was later taken into custody for aggravated assault on June 25th.
Derrick Wade Hughes of Abby Creek Drive in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on June 25th, charged with aggravated assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $5,000.
