21-year-old Benjamin Thomas Surholt had a domestic altercation with his friend and roommate, Mark Mosley, at their Madison Street residence on August 3rd. Mosley told responding officers that he and Surholt had a verbal altercation that became physical. He added that they had been roommates for about eight months. Then, Mosley further explained that Surholt allegedly called him racial slurs.
Mosley stated this upset him to the point of throwing a can of dip at Surholt. After being hit with the can, Surholt threw it back at Mosley’s face before punching him in the face, which led to a fist fight. Surholt was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault on August 4th.
Benjamin Thomas Surholt of Madison Street in Clarksville, TN, was booked into to the Montgomery County Jail on August 4th, charged with domestic assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $250.
