44-year-old Larry Kauffman was caught with cocaine at a Memorial Drive apartment residence on May 4th. Officers spoke with Kauffman’s ex-girlfriend, who also lives at the residence, and she stated that He had taken something in their bedroom and began acting paranoid. Officers then arrived on the scene and spoke with Kauffman, who told officers that he was not in possession of anything and had not taken any controlled substances. Officers then searched the residence and found a small baggie with a white powdery substance in a pair of blue jeans. The white substance tested positive for cocaine, weighing in at 1.1 grams. Kauffman admitted the jeans were his, and he was taken into custody for simple possession.
Larry Eugene Kauffman of Memorial Drive in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on May 5th, charged with simple possession. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,000.
