Dexavier Rush stays in semi truck for 3 weeks, pawns jump box to Cash America Pawn Shop

27-year-old Dexavier Rush was caught sleeping in Sharonda Depriest’s semi-truck at Fort Campbell Boulevard on March 27th. Depriest informed law enforcement that she found her truck missing a jump box she had just bought and that garbage was everywhere. When officers arrived, they observed Rush outside the truck, cleaning out his belongings.

He explained that his friend, “KG,” informed him that the truck was unlocked, so he stayed there off and on for three weeks because he didn’t have a home to go to. Rush advised that he didn’t know anything was missing from the truck when questioned about the jump box. During the investigation, officers located Depriest’s jump box at the Cash America Pawn Shop on Fort Campbell Boulevard. Surveillance footage from the pawn shop showed Rush pawning the jump box. Dexavier Rush was taken into custody and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.
