46-year-old Andre Rivers was caught driving under the influence near the intersection of Fort Campbell Blvd and Ringold Road on May 11th. Officers noticed a white Jaguar speeding while swerving in its lane several times. Officers initiated a traffic stop and immediately noticed Rivers’ bloodshot eyes, sluggish movements, slurred speech, and the smell of alcohol coming from him. Officers then asked Rivers to perform a sobriety test, which he consented to but performed poorly, showing several indicators of intoxication. Rivers was then taken into custody for driving under the influence. It was later discovered he had a prior DUI conviction in 2021.
Andre Mitchell Rivers of Nottingham Drive in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on May 12th, charged with driving under the influence. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
