DUI: Soldier Jacob Meyers has 9 beers at Electric Cowboy, swerves in red pickup truck

23-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Jacob Ronald Meyers was observed driving a red pick-up truck, dragging its exhaust near Fountainbleau Road and Fort Campbell Boulevard in the early hours of May 12th. Deputies noticed him traveling northbound with sparks trailing him on the ground from the exhaust. While officers were behind the vehicle, they observed it swerve into the middle lane and conducted a traffic stop near Quin Lane. Meyers advised that he was drunk several times and coming from the troubled Electric Cowboy. Under Miranda, he admitted to having nine beers before leaving the bar. During their interaction, he showed numerous signs of impairment and reeked of alcohol, so they prompted him with sobriety tests, which he refused. After being read implied consent, he agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.153 BAC%.  Meyers was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.
