Jerry Coppage caught with over 14 grams of marijuana

18-year-old Jerry Coppage was caught with marijuana while driving on June 1st. Officers observed a vehicle driving with a missing taillight and conducted a traffic stop. Officers then made contact with Coppage, and while speaking with him, officers immediately noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the car. When asked about the drugs, Coppage admitted to having marijuana as well as a grinder for it. Officers then proceeded to search the vehicle upon his admittance, and during the search, they located a backpack containing marijuana, THC vapes, a digital scale, a marijuana grinder, a glass pipe, ripped baggies, and a mason jar containing marijuana. A portion of the drugs were tested and came back positive as marijuana, weighing in at 14.175 grams, and the vapes contained 44% THC. Coppage was then taken into custody for unlawful drug paraphernalia, drug violations, and simple possession.

Jerry Wayne Coppage of Stonewall Lane in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on June 1st, charged with conspiracy to sell drugs, simple possession/casual exchange, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $5,000.
