Curtice Barrow lies to police to avoid telling her job that she lost her work phone

30-year-old Curtice Barrow was caught giving officers false information at her Smithson Lane townhome on March 30th. Barrow told officers that an unknown person snuck into her home and stole her work phone. While officers were on the scene, Barrow provided them with a self-written statement detailing who the suspect might be and how they could have done it. Later, on April 19th, Barrow participated in a follow-up interview. During the interview, Barrow made several inconsistent statements, ultimately changing her initial story about what happened. Throughout her story, Barrow revealed that she was on probation at her job and didn’t want to violate it by telling them that she had lost her work phone. At the end of the interview, Barrow provided law enforcement with a written statement of admission stating, “It is safe to assume that I lost the phone and it was not stolen.” Curtice Barrow was taken into custody and charged with submitting a false report on April 26th.
