Christopher Stallard caught giving $6,994 worth of “sweetheart” deals at Dollar General

22-year-old Christopher Stallard was seen embezzling funds from Dollar General on April 22nd. That day, Carl Martin, an asset protection specialist for Dollar General, reported to officers that he believed Stallard was committing embezzlement. Martin stated that from March 12th to April 15th, Stallard had been caught making “sweetheart” deals for a co-worker, TeAundra Johnson, where he would take a regular-priced item and discount it to $0.01. Martin also told officers that on April 15th, Stallard gave Johnson two packs of spiked lemonade without scanning them. Stallard had been responsible for $6,994.25 in losses during this time frame. When interviewed by Martin on April 19th, Stallard confessed to the crime in writing as well as verbally. On May 31st, Officers interviewed and questioned Stallard regarding the embezzlement, in which he again admitted to the allegations made. Stallard told officers that he would regularly give people discounts and manually override the price of things on multiple occasions. Stallard was then taken into custody for property theft on June 4th.

Christopher Aaron Stallard of Jack Miller Blvd in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on June 4th, charged with theft of property. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $10,000.
