34-year-old Brenda Zuniga was involved in a car crash at the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Washington Street on May 17th. When officers arrived, they observed Zuniga sitting behind the wheel of her vehicle, which crashed into a pole on the sidewalk. Officers made contact and noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached Zuniga. Zuniga stated that she was heading home and saw a dog run out in front of her. Zuniga stated that she tried to avoid the dog but ended up hitting a street pole. Shortly after, Zuniga admitted that she had three drinks before she started driving. Brenda Zuniga refused to perform sobriety tests, so she was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence on May 18th.
Brenda Angelina Zuniga of Daniel Street in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on May 18th, charged with driving under the fluence. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $3,500.
