Officers asked Fletcher to step out of the vehicle due to the smell of marijuana. Officers noticed Fletcher was uneasy on her feet as she exited the vehicle. Officers then asked Fletcher where she was coming from. She stated she had a night out with her friends and was coming from La Vergne, Tennessee. While officers spoke with Fletcher, they also noticed the smell of alcohol coming from her person. Before, she admitted to officers that she had been drinking that night and that there was a can of alcohol in the back floorboard of the vehicle. Officers then asked Fletcher to perform sobriety tests, which she accepted but performed poorly on. Fletcher’s license was also suspended at the time of the stop. Officers deemed Fletcher to be intoxicated, and she was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license, open container of alcohol, and DUI.
