45-year-old Jason Heavin was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Kristina Ganassin, at Billy Dunlop Park near East Boy Scout Road on May 19th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Ganassin. Ganassin stated that during an altercation with Heavin, he tackled her to the ground, causing injuries that officers observed. Officers then made contact with Heavin, who tried to walk away from officers. Officers attempted to grab Heavin as he pulled away. Heavin also pulled away from officers, inhibiting their ability to place him in handcuffs. Heavin was taken into custody for domestic assault and resisting arrest.
Jason Jeremy Heavin of South Riverside Drive in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on May 20th, charged with domestic assault and resisting arrest. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,000.
