24-year-old Joseph Jovanni Carrera, a Starbucks employee, had a domestic altercation with his mother, Irene Carrera, and his brother, Alex Carrera, at their Iris Lane residence around 11:12 a.m. on June 9th. Officers were advised that while Joseph argued with Irene, he started pushing and yelling at her while breaking items in the house. Alex observed this and pushed Joseph to defend their mother. After this, Alex went to his bedroom and shut the door. Joseph then broke into Alex’s room, where he started hitting him. In response to being hit, Alex pushed Joseph back. After this, Joseph left the room and spat on Irene. Alex then held onto Irene to prevent Joseph from attacking her further. Joseph Carrera was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault.
Joseph Jovanni Carrera of Iris Lane in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on June 9th, charged with two counts of domestic assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $3,000.
