Armand Ali makes multiple false reports after hitting two mailboxes & fleeing the scene

49-year-old Armand Ali was caught after making several false reports to officers on July 1st. On February 16th, officers visited an Eagles Nest Lane residence and spoke with Ali. He claimed that when he woke up, his car’s left side was destroyed. Officers were able to find probable cause for Ali striking two mailboxes earlier in the morning and fleeing the scene. This led to Ali being arrested that day. On May 17th, Ali requested to make changes to a report. Officers observed Ali appearing to coerce a witness to alter statements regarding his arrest on February 16th. Ali then informed officers that he needed to make a formal complaint that the arresting officers, on February 16th, broke his arm. After reviewing the camera footage, officers found this claim to be false. The footage showed that Ali had dropped something upon the officers’ arrival and made a scowl. When officers asked about Ali’s arm, he told them that his arm was hurt and swollen but made no more complaints about his arm.

On June 8th, Ali contacted officers concerning filing charges against someone who had broken his arm. Ali claimed that his girlfriend had pushed him down the stairs, resulting in his arm breaking. Ali also claimed that he initially contacted officers regarding a domestic assault, but they did not take him seriously. Ali then says officers did not investigate the domestic assault but instead investigated his vehicle damage. Ali stated this resulted in him being arrested. Officers reviewed body cam footage, and at no point did it show Ali making claims of a domestic assault. Ali was then taken into custody for making false reports on July 1st.
