19-year-old Darian Johnson was involved in a single-vehicle car crash at the intersection of Old Clarksville Springfield Rd and Highway 76 on June 25th. When officers arrived, they observed a black Hyundai Sonata with heavy damage to its right side. Once officers made contact with Johnson, they observed that he was visually impaired and smelt like alcohol. Johnson told officers he didn’t know where his wallet was and had forgotten to give officers the requested documents. When Johnson got out of his car, he confessed to having “three drinks,” prompting officers to ask him to perform sobriety tests. Johnson agreed but performed poorly, so he was taken into custody for driving while impaired and exercising due care.
Darian Joe Johnson of Edd Ross Road in Cedar Hill, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on June 25th, charged with underage driving while impaired and drivers failure to exercise due care. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $6,000.
