30-year-old Rafael Butler was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Monique Smith, at their Tower Drive apartment on July 16th. In a written statement provided by Smith, it was stated that Butler punched her in the face three times during an argument. When officers arrived, they observed blood coming from Smith’s nose and blood on the concrete next to her.
Through further investigation of the incident, it was found that Butler and Smith have a long history of domestic assault and condition of release violations. Once officers came into contact with Butler, he was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
Rafael Kalvin Butler of Central Ave in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on July 16th, charged with domestic assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $5,000.
