32-year-old Bradley Baggett was seen shoplifting at the Academy Sports + Outdoors on South Hampton Place on August 1st. When officers arrived, they were provided surveillance footage of Baggett walking past checkout and leaving the store with a full cart of merchandise. Upon checking Baggett’s license plate, officers were able to trace his driver’s license, confirming his identity as the individual in the video.
When officers contacted Baggett, he admitted taking the items without paying and agreed to meet with police. Once the items were returned to Academy Sports, their value was found to be $1,542. Baggett was then taken into custody and charged with theft of property.
Bradley Eugene Baggett of Maple Street in Adams, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on August 1st, charged with shoplifting. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $5,000.
