Darrius Mitchell caught with 235 grams of marijuana during traffic stop

On August 3rd, 31-year-old Darrius Mitchell was stopped by a deputy on Highway 48 in his 2011 Chevy Traverse for not displaying his tag lights. The deputy then approached Mitchell’s vehicle and asked for his paperwork. As the deputy did this, he noticed a large amount of a green leafy substance in plain sight.

Mitchell was then detained while the deputy waited for another unit of deputies to arrive. Once the other deputies arrived, the vehicle was searched, and 235 grams of marijuana were found. Mitchell was then taken into custody and charged with possession of schedule IV drugs.

Darrius Shabazz Mitchell of Moody Road in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on August 3rd, charged with possession of schedule IV drugs. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $10,000.
