23-year-old Soldier Ja’Von Wayne Bailey left his 3-year-old son unattended at his Tracy Lane apartment on August 3rd. Officers received a call about a child wandering the apartment complex. When officers arrived, they located the 3-year-old who was only wearing a diaper. The toddler could not speak completely but was able to lead the police to his and Ja’Von’s unit.

In the unit, officers found three firearms on the bed, which were easily accessible to his 3-year-old son. After about an hour, Ja’Von returned and told officers that he had left his son with a roommate. It was later determined that Ja’Von left the sleeping child to go to the store.
