36-year-old Kelly Ann Hughes was involved in a domestic altercation with her husband, Ryan Hughes, on July 20th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Ryan, who reported that he had been in an altercation with his wife. Ryan claims that his wife was yelling and throwing things in the kitchen before he went to take a bottle to his children.
Ryan alleges that while standing on the stairs holding the bottle, Kelly kicked the bottle out of his hand. This action caused the bottle to hit his face, resulting in his teeth breaking. The officers at the scene observed that Ryan had indeed lost teeth and found a metal orange bottle on the stairs. Kelly was determined to be the primary aggressor, and she was subsequently taken into custody for aggravated assault.
Kelly Ann Hughes of Wingfield Court in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on July 20th, charged with aggravated assault. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $5,000.
