53-year-old Nolan Keatts Jr. was involved in a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Rhonda Byard, at their Old Sango Road residence on August 15th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Byard. She stated while she was getting ready for bed, Keatts Jr. came into their bedroom drunk and causing issues. Once Keatts Jr. approached Byard, he pushed her onto the bed and then started strangling her.
Byard told officers that she attempted to go outside, but Keatts Jr. pushed her to the ground. She added that this caused bruising to her elbow. Byard then stated that she tried calling her daughter or neighbor for help, but nobody came. Keatts Jr. was later found and taken into custody for aggravated domestic assault on August 16th.
Nolan William Keatts Jr. of Old Sango Road in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on August 16th, charged with aggravated assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
