Soldier Levi Barron flees police on motorcycle during high speed chase on Fort Campbell Boulevard

27-year-old Soldier Levi Barron was seen recklessly driving and evading officers while on Fort Campbell Boulevard on July 24th. Officers noticed a sport-type motorcycle behind them in their rearview mirror. They saw the bike change lanes from lane three to lane one and accelerate rapidly, surpassing the speed limit. The officers then activated their emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop on Barron. However, Barron turned around and accelerated the motorcycle even more. This prompted officers to turn off their emergency equipment and put out a description of the motorcycle to other units.

The motorcycle continued on Fort Campbell, turned onto Lafayette Road, and then back onto Fort Campbell Boulevard. Another set of officers noticed the motorcycle turning onto Dover Crossing and then onto Dover Road. Another officer observed the same motorcycle rider, who again accelerated at a higher speed to evade them. During the chase, officers observed that the motorcycle failed to stop at a red light on Dover Crossing and Fort Campbell Boulevard. Officers then obtained the motorcycle’s tag and discovered the address was on the Fort Campbell military base. Police contacted Fort Campbell, and the military police provided them with a description of the motorcycle and helmet.

They also noted that the motorcycle was previously stopped on June 14th and was issued a citation. The military police made contact with Barron at Fort Campbell. Officers noticed that he was wearing the same shoes as when he fled from officers. Barron later admitted to officers that he was the rider of the motorcycle. As a result, Barron was taken into custody for evading arrest, reckless driving, speeding, and not stopping for traffic control signals.
