Matthew Powers charged in domestic assault of wife

Dana Powers says her 39-year-old husband, Matthew Thomas Powers, slapped her in the face as she got up from their couch and then pushed her back onto the couch. As she got up a second time to call 911, she says he pushed her against the wall, placing both hands around her neck. Matthew fled the scene, and officers encountered him at the nearby Marathon in his red truck. Officers report he was intoxicated. He was transported to jail and charged with domestic assault.

Katrina Malone jailed over beef with Arby’s manager

32-year-old Katrina Ann Malone tried to forcibly get into the Arby’s on Fort Cambell Blvd, where manager Donna Sleeper was standing inside attempting to keep her out. The two had just been involved in an automobile accident on Fort Campbell Blvd, and both pulled into the parking lot, and Sleeper ran inside the building when Malone began yelling at her. Sleeper reportedly sustained scratches and bruising from the assault, and a warrant was issued for Malone’s arrest.

Andrew Schoonover charged in assault of 12-year-old niece

30-year-old Andrew Roger Schoonover is charged with the domestic assault of his 12-year-old niece. Joshua and Courtney Schoonover say they were at home on November 5th and were “play arguing” with their daughter when her uncle, Andrew Schoonover, suddenly grabbed the child by her shoulders and pushed her into her bedroom. Seeing his daughter being assaulted, Joshua then punched Andrew in the face twice, causing him to leave the residence on foot. Officers arrived at the location and located Andrew walking nearby. The victim confirmed her uncle assaulted her.

Jenifer Bess assaults motel roommate with cord, per report

Kathleen Webster says she’s been sharing a room with 48-year-old Jenifer Christine Bess at the InTown Suites near Exit 11 since September of last year. She says last Friday night, she was arguing with Bess when Bess threw a cord at her, sticking her in the face. Police arrived on the scene and took Bess into custody for domestic assault.

Soldier Ana Jackson grabs boyfriend’s genitals during drunken assault

Jeremy Snyder told police that he had been drinking with his 22-year-old girlfriend, Fort Campbell soldier Ana Lin Jackson, and got into a verbal dispute that quickly became physical. He says she began to hit him on the chest and grabbed his neck and grabbed his genitals during the assault. Officers observed marks and scratches all over his body due to the assault. Ana stated she had been drunk, and there had been an initial dispute and volunteered she had started a second argument.

Soldier Zach Braley charged with drag racing; speeding 91 mph in a 55 mph zone

21-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Zachary Jeffrey Braley is charged with drag racing and speeding after a THP Trooper observed him driving one of four vehicles traveling together and approaching him at a high rate of speed, eventually reaching 91 mph in a 55 mph zone on Hwy 374 between Peachers Mill Road and Whitfield Road. Trooper Cadena stopped Braley, who was driving the lead vehicle, at 1 a.m. and placed him into custody.

Drunk Man arrested while sleeping it off in car at The Electric Cowboy — Barry Ward

45-year-old Barry Dale Ward had too much to drink at the Electric Cowboy Saturday morning and made it to the rear seat of his vehicle, where he was sleeping it off with the door open. Jacob Turner, a bouncer at the troubled nightclub, called Clarksville Police to report the man asleep in his car. Officers arrived at 3:47 a.m. to find Ward still asleep in the backseat of a vehicle and had to shake him multiple times to wake him up. Officers asked Ward to call someone to get him, but he told the officer to do it for him and then told them to take him to jail. Officers charged him with public intoxication and transported him to booking.

Eric Taylor charged with pushing his wife during 2 a.m. argument

Amy Taylor told police she was pushed by her 38-year-old husband, Eric Michael Taylor, at 2 a.m. Monday at their Ridge Meadow Drive residence. Officers also arrived to find a variety of items thrown into the front yard by Eric, who was reportedly intoxicated during his interaction with police. Due to this and the prior history of domestic violence incidents with Eric as the defendant, he was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Underage DWI: Jennifer Forsythe charged after 2 a.m. crash on Riverside Drive

Clarksville Police noticed two vehicles had pulled into the smoke shop on Riverside Drive just after 2 a.m. Saturday, and stopped to check on them, as bother vehicles had their flashers active. It was immediately clear the two vehicles had been involved in a crash. One of the drivers, 20-year-old Jennifer Forsythe, reeked of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. She admitted to consuming “a few drinks” before driving, and performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

Rocquell Dawkins charged with beating teen with hanger, wooden spoon, until both broke

34-year-old Rocquell ‘Roxcy’ Andrea Dawkins, who with her husband owns the Jamrok Buffet in Clarksville, is charged with child abuse after police say she beat her 16-year-old stepson with a clothes hanger until it brown, then beat him with a wooden spoon until it also broke. Officers documented injuries to the child’s head, neck, and arms. She became upset that a younger child had viewed a sexual video on a cell phone, which was sent by the 16-year-old’s friend.

39-year-old Jennifer Lynn Poole is charged with domestic assault after police say she threw a plate of food at her husband, Zach Poole, during an argument Thursday evening. When police arrived at the home on Blue Bliar Trace, Poole stated he grabbed her and caused her to throw the place at her husband. After interviewing the husband and having Jennifer reconstruct where they were standing, she was determined to be the primary aggressor and had thrown the plate at her husband when she became upset with him.

Strawberry Alley Ale Works: Issued Permit Revocation Warning Letter & moldy strawberries

After an October 17th routine inspection, the Department of Health is processing permit revocation warning letters for repeated health code violations that remain unresolved after multiple repeat inspections at Strawberry Alley Ale Works in downtown Clarksville, where they received a score of 73. After the warning letters, the restaurant could be ordered to stop operating if the same violation remains unresolved on the next inspection.

Additionally, 100 pounds of food was embargoed during the most recent inspection. Other violations included moldy strawberries, the dish machine wouldn’t get hot enough to properly clean, and eight-day-old guacamole in the prep line cooler.

Fort Campbell Soldier Dakota Herrod booked after failing to appear for traffic citation

27-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Dakota Blake Herrod was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant issued when he failed to appear for a traffic citation in July. The original June citation charges him with traveling at 68 mph in a 45 mph, with no proof of insurance, and driving on a suspended license. He told the officer his cruise control was set at 64. When he didn’t appear for his July court date, a failure to appear warrant was signed.

Solider Markita Hollis charged in felony aggravated assault of their significant other

27-year-old Markita Denita Hollis is charged with the felony aggravated assault of their significant other, Blair Smith. The victim called 911 after she said the couple had a verbal argument that was escalating, but Hollis attempted to take the phone away from her. During the struggle, Hollis reportedly grabbed the hood of the victim’s clothing, restricting her breathing. She says Hollis then grabbed an item and attempted to hit her with it. Hollis says they was only attempting to take the phone as they were paying for it.
