Tyler Deeley drives with fake temporary tags with the word “Altima” misspelled

22-year-old Tyler Deeley was caught with fake plates on his vehicle near Avalon Street on April 29th. Officers noticed a spray-painted green Nissan Altima with a fake Tennessee temporary tag and initiated a traffic stop. Officers made contact with Deeley, who was able to provide some paperwork for the purchase of the vehicle, but it appeared as if he purchased it from an individual, not a dealer.

While examining the registration, Officers noticed it had different fonts and distorted images, and the word Altima was misspelled with the wrong VIN for the vehicle. Initially, Deeley told officers that he had purchased the car from U Save Auto Sales on Providence Blvd, where he had gotten the tag from. Officers then spoke with the manager of the car lot, who told officers they had no record of any transaction with Deeley or the vehicle. Deeley was taken into custody for falsifying and forging auto titles on May 11th.
