Former Clarksville Police Officer Demetrius Harris dislocates estranged wife’s shoulder

On April 22nd, 30-year-old Former Clarksville Police Officer Demetrius Harris was involved in a domestic incident with his estranged wife, Damaris Garcia, at a Concord Drive apartment residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Garcia, who claimed that Harris assaulted her in the living room above her apartment. Garcia claimed that Harris came over to her residence and began arguing with her, pushing her twice. She claimed that she had fallen on the ground after the second push. Garcia then claimed that Harris had grabbed her arms and began punching them. During this struggle, Garcia’s shoulder had dislocated, and she was unable to use it. Garcia told officers that Harris had strangled her, but she managed to kick him off and escape. Officers observed the bruising on her shoulder and deemed Harris to be the primary aggressor. Harris was taken into custody for domestic aggravated assault on April 23rd.
