29-year-old Luke Chowning, who works at the Rascon School of Combat Medicine at Fort Campbell, nearly collided with a Clarksville Police officer in his vehicle on March 23rd just after 4 p.m. When a traffic stop was conducted, he stated he consumed “a lot” of alcohol and admitted he was drunk. A search of the vehicle revealed an almost empty White Claw can. DUI: Special Forces soldier Christopher Malone jailed, can’t make bond after crash

22-year-old Fort Campbell 5th Special Forces Group 2nd Battalion Soldier Christopher Ryan Malone was driving on the wrong side of Dunlop Lane Tuesday evening when he crashed into a ditch, according to officials and a witness. Malone initially told the deputy he crashed because “I have bald tires and fell asleep”. During that conversation, the deputy noticed he smelled of alcohol, which he later admitted to drinking. Several open beer cans were found in cup holders and strewn throughout the vehicle. A handgun was also located in his possession.

DUI: Man crashes car after “4-5 beers” at Electric Cowboy — Jacob Sauer arrested

Police say 24-year-old Jacob ‘Jake’ Sauer had just left the Electric Cowboy when he crashed his Honda CRV at 11:40 p.m. Friday. Responding officers say there was an obvious smell of alcohol about Sauer, who admitted to having “4-5 beers” at the bar. Police say 21-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Hunter Crum was at Rookies Sports Bar and after about 4 drinks got into an argument with a female, and decided to leave the bar in an attempt to de-escalate the disagreement. As he got into his vehicle to leave, he damaged her car when attempting to back out of a parking spot. Officers located him sitting at the bar and he was charged with DUI. He blew a 0.157% BAC on a breathalyzer.

21-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Javis Danielly was jailed on two separate DUI charges in the span of 9 days. On February 19th, police responded to Hookah21 at 2 a.m. where he crashed his car after drinking 1 beer and 1 shot of liquor. He was jailed and released on a $2,500 bond. On February 27, Danielly consumed 3 shots of Hennessy before crashing into another vehicle on Fort Campbell Blvd at 4:20 p.m. on a Sunday and was freed on a new $5,000 bond.

32-year-old Philip Thomas faces multiple charges after first responders pulled him from his crashed vehicle just after 9 p.m. Saturday. He rolled the 2013 GMC pickup after striking a guard rail, according to authorities, who found an open 1.75 L bottle of Maker’s Mark with only 1/4th of the whisky still in the bottle. Thomas, who had urinated on himself, told police had only had “one drink” at a friend’s house earlier.

23-year-old DeAnthonee Simmons was booked into the Montgomery County Jail after officers found him crashed in a culvert near Ft Campbell Blvd & Collier Road just before midnight on New Year’s Eve. The vehicle was wrecked with Simmons in the driver’s seat, approximately a half-mile off the roadway.

Clarksville Police Officer Benjamin Tribbett asked him how he ended up in this predicament, and Simmons was unsure how he got there. The officer suspected Simmons of driving under the influence, and he was transported to booking to be charged, after a stop at Tennova Sango for a blood draw. Simmons is free on a $2,500 bond.

Woman punches deputy who pepper sprays her during intake — Zaria Metcalfe

23-year-old Zaria Metcalfe faces multiple charges after fleeing from officers during a suspected DUI traffic stop. Once she was in custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail she refused to change out of her clothing and into a smock, prompting MCSO Officer Luketic to threaten to use chemical spray on her if she didn’t comply.

She continued to refuse and stated: “B*tch, Spray Me!” – and the officers obliged with a “short burst” of chemical spray to her face. As the officer felt she was complying, Zaria Metcalfe punched her in the face.

Citizens block in suspected impaired driver until police arrive — Tommy Riddell arrested

Two concerned citizens blocked the vehicle of 22-year-old U.S. Army Soldier Tommy Riddell on the side of 101st Airborne Division Pkwy Sunday afternoon just after 3 p.m., one pulling in front, and the other pulling behind him, as they had noticed his erratic driving behavior and decided to prevent him from returning to driving on the roadway after they contained him near the side of the road.

Tommy Lee Riddell was booked into the Montgomery County Jail, charged with DUI and possession of a handgun while under the influence. He is free on a $3,000 bond.
