James Gaangin caught with brass knuckles after playing loudly playing music at 2 A.M.

39-year-old James Gaangin was caught with a prohibited weapon while listening to music in his car at a Drayton Avenue residence. Officers responded to a loud disturbance at the Drayton Drive residence. When police arrived, they spoke with a man, who was later identified as Gaangin, playing music in his vehicle. The officers told Gaangin that he couldn’t play his music that loud at 2 a.m. A woman on the scene helped Gaangin understand this, and he acknowledged them. Gaangin then grabbed a fanny pack, and officers noticed that he had a pair of brass knuckles on top of his vehicle, which are a prohibited weapon. Upon seeing the brass knuckles, officers asked Gaangin to put them down. Gaangin proceeded to put the brass knuckles on his hand. The woman then removed the brass knuckles before handing them to officers. Officers asked Gaangin three times to identify himself, which he refused after officers explained that brass knuckles were prohibited. Upon request, a supervisor arrived on the scene and explained to Gaangin that he needed to identify himself to be issued a citation instead of being arrested. However, Gaangin failed to identify himself and was then taken into custody for prohibited weapons.
