Kalil Holden nearly runs over pedestrian while fleeing police in Kia Optima at Walmart

26-year-old Kalil Juvante Holden was identified as the driver of a black Kia Optima that shoplifting suspects entered in the Fort Campbell Boulevard Wal-Mart parking lot on the afternoon of April 12th. The complainant worked for loss prevention at the establishment and advised responding officers of the incident. The police observed a heavy-set black male, Holden, driving with a short afro and instructed him to turn the vehicle off, which he did. Then, the driver turned the car back on, rolled up the window, and drove out of the parking lot. As he did this, he nearly struck a pedestrian crossing, coming within one foot of them. Officers uploaded a video of the incident to “evidence.com.” They later discovered the owner of the black Kia Optima in question, who stated that she allowed Holden to use it for several days. Then, the police confirmed that Holden was the driver and spoke with him via phone. Holden advised them that he was at Wal-Mart earlier that day but could not give a specific time. A check through NCIC showed that Holden’s license had been suspended since July 28th, 2023, for failing to satisfy fines or costs on a criminal offense. Holden was later taken into custody for reckless endangerment, driving on a suspended license, and evading arrest on August 5th.
